This morning was an early start - a real system shocker - but oh so worth it - I saw an amazing Lyrebird up close - Lyrebirds are apparently one of Australians most well known native birds - but as a native Australian I can't say I've seen too many of them, although a friend tells me there used to plenty not far from where I grew up in Victoria - We drove through Kangaroo Valley NSW this morning quite early just as the sun was sneaking up over the escarpment. The vista filled with fog looked absolutely amazing - like a ocean between mountains. Kangaroos & wombats grazed in the paddocks by the roadside and it was absolutely serene. I wanted to linger drinking coffee but had to join the rat race - I am lucky enough to be going to KV again this Saturday morning as the Kangaroo Valley Market is on at the Showground from 8 a.m. - If you want to escape to a rural paradise come down for a visit - Look for Julz Jewels near the white commentary hut - If you can't get there this week you can
